Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the weather in the hilly region is expected to be partly cloudy today, with a likelihood of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. This weather phenomenon is attributed to the influence of the Westerly wind.
Currently, the hilly region is experiencing partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the regions are generally fair. Towards the afternoon, there are chances of light snowfall at select locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
Looking ahead to Friday, the forecast indicates partly cloudy conditions in the hilly region and generally fair weather in other regions. There remains a possibility of light snowfall at isolated places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the maximum temperature recorded in Kathmandu over the last 24 hours was 22 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 10.3 degrees Celsius.
